At Chasten Gold, we are committed to supporting children, parents, caregivers, and youth by providing trusted resources, educational opportunities, and community programs that promote lifelong learning, healthy development, and family well-being. Our Youth and Family Services Resource Center connects families with information, tools, and organizations that support every stage of life—from early childhood development and literacy to parenting resources, educational enrichment, health and wellness, financial stability, and community engagement. Whether you're raising a newborn, preparing your child for school, supporting a teenager, or simply looking for family-friendly activities and community resources, Chasten Gold is here to help your family grow, learn, and thrive together.

Every Book Begins With a Story!

Milah's Storybook Corner is helping children discover the joy of reading, one page at a time. Explore read-aloud videos, educational activities, literacy resources, printable worksheets, and family reading adventures that inspire young imaginations.

First 5 California

First 5 California helps children ages 0–5 get the strongest possible start in life by promoting early childhood development, school readiness, healthy brain development, and family engagement. The organization provides free parenting resources, developmental milestone information, literacy tools, and educational activities for young children. Their programs help parents build healthy, nurturing environments that support lifelong success.

Sacramento Public Library

The Sacramento Public Library offers much more than books. Families can enjoy free story times, STEM programs, homework help, literacy initiatives, teen spaces, maker labs, reading challenges, digital learning resources, and educational events throughout the year. Libraries also provide safe spaces where children and families can learn, explore, and grow together.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Sacramento

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Sacramento provide safe after-school and summer programs where young people can learn, build friendships, receive homework assistance, develop leadership skills, and participate in sports, arts, and STEM activities. The organization focuses on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character development while providing positive adult mentorship.

Child Action, Inc.

Child Action helps families locate quality child care while providing financial assistance, parenting education, early learning resources, and professional development for child care providers. The organization supports working families by improving access to safe, affordable, and enriching child care throughout Sacramento County. Their services help children thrive while supporting parents' employment and education goals.

First 5 Sacramento

First 5 Sacramento invests in programs that improve the health, education, and well-being of young children and their families throughout Sacramento County. The organization supports early learning initiatives, home visiting programs, developmental screenings, parent education, and family resource centers. Their goal is to ensure every child enters school healthy, safe, and ready to learn.

4-H Youth Development Program 

California 4-H empowers young people through hands-on learning experiences that develop leadership, citizenship, science, agriculture, healthy living, and life skills. Youth participate in community service projects, STEM activities, public speaking, environmental education, and career exploration. The program encourages confidence, responsibility, and leadership while preparing young people for future success.

Sacramento Children's Home

Sacramento Children's Home has served children and families for more than 150 years through counseling, crisis intervention, foster care and adoption services, early childhood education, family resource centers, and youth mental health programs. Their comprehensive services strengthen families while promoting healthy child development, emotional well-being, and long-term stability.

California State Parks – PORTS Program

The Parks Online Resources for Teachers and Students (PORTS) Program offers free virtual field trips and educational experiences that connect students with California's parks, history, wildlife, science, and natural resources. Families and educators can explore interactive lessons that inspire environmental stewardship, curiosity, and lifelong learning from anywhere in California.
